Hack The Future

9th Dec 2014

Boot yourself, boost your career. That’s the tagline of Hack The Future, the first Cronos-hackaton of its kind.

On December 11th, 172 final year students IT from 13 universities and colleges land in our headquarters in Kontich to smash their brains together.

The mission is simple: prototype a piece of hard- or software over the course of a single day.

10 cronos-companies host their own technical discipline and formulate specific assignments in the context of 8 global challenges.

The ideas are judged for technical niftiness by a panel of experts from the cronos-companies and for social-innovation-potential by a panel of guru’s (including Jo Robrechts (Triamant), Bart Vancoppenolle (Bhaalu), Eddy Denys (Cronos), Rita Verreydt (Uptimegroup), Jan De Meester (Mobile Vikings), Lode Uytterschaut (KBC) and Kristien Van den Brande (Accenture)).

The winning team of every group goes home with new tablets. The most innovative team of the day can win the legendary future-technology-prize and of course, eternal glory, as the ultimate reward.

With this blitz-event, we hope to give these students a taste of the Cronos culture on the intersection of creativity, technology and entrepreneurship.

The war for talent has begun, and it’s energetic fun. Let the games begin.
